Effective April 1, 2021, the informal competitive solicitation threshold has been raised from $10,000 to $25,000. This increase includes transactions on both federal and non-federal funds. While this increase is anticipated to reduce administrative burdens, departments are still encouraged to continue to obtain competitive quotes whenever possible to ensure the best value for the University.
This increase will not affect the current single PCard transaction limit of $10,000. PCard transactions that exceed $10,000 can be processed but will need an exception granted by the PCard Administration team. Requests for exceptions can be emailed to pcard@fso.arizona.edu or call 520-626-9091.
The pertinent Financial Services and Purchasing policies have been adjusted to reflect this change.
